“Memorial University was my first choice for post-secondary, since it is within the province and because of the afforable tuition and other expenses. Staying close to home (Labrador City) and near family was important to me and Memorial made that possible. Fighting to maintain the tuition freeze is very important if we want to attract students and ignite interest in them to stay and live here. People from all over have made this place their home after spending years here – including myself. We want to see strength in our economy and a large contribution to this is the youth that choose to invest in themselves here. Let’s stay unified, and strong, and fight for affordable education!”
